How to install Mineral Core Board flooring using GenClick®
Installing your Mineral Core Board flooring is quick and straightforward thanks to the GenClick® “angle pushdown” click system. This floating installation method allows you to lay planks or tiles directly over existing surfaces without the need for glue.* To begin, place spacers around the perimeter of the room to maintain the correct expansion gap between the floor and walls or fixed elements. This space ensures the flooring can move naturally. Click together the first row at the short end, then continue assembling each full row by engaging the boards along the long side. One of the key advantages of the modular GenClick® system is its flexibility: you don’t need to clear the entire room before installing. Simply shift your furniture around the space as you progress, allowing for a smooth, stepbystep installation that fits around your home and your day.
*Please note that installing STELLAR floors over soft surfaces, like carpet or flexible plastic coverings that have textile or foam backing, such as old vinyl floors, is not recommended.
Step-by-step installation
Remove the Mineral Core Boards from their packaging before installation.
Let the boards sit in the installation area for at least 24 hours to acclimate to the room’s temperature. This acclimation helps prevent shrinkage or swelling that could affect installation.
If installing over existing floors, ensure the surface is sufficiently even (details are in the instruction notice).
For a cleaner finish and easier installation, we recommend removing skirting boards to hide expansion gaps near the walls.
The modular GenClick® system allows you to reposition furniture as you go—no need to empty the entire room.

In a square room, position the planks or tiles towards the main source of natural light to enhance depth and visual harmony.
In a rectangular room, laying wood planks or stoneeffect tiles parallel to the longer wall creates a sense of balance and elongation.

No additional underlay needed
All STELLAR floors are engineered with an integrated acoustic foam backing, which means no separate underlay is needed.
This built-in layer enhances acoustic comfort by absorbing up to 19 dB of impact noise, helping create quieter, more serene interiors. It also provides gentle cushioning and improves thermal retention, giving the floor a naturally softer, more comfortable feel underfoot.
